I've seen a lot of 'relisted' properties in the small area of Vancouver I've been tracking. Most expired or were pulled off the market in 06 and are now showing up as 'new'.
Its unfortunate that the MLS public system doesn't let you see the listing history of an address within the last year.

As for RE Shenanigans. I am starting to wonder how much of this goes on in Canada. Probably more than we think. There should be a neutral third party in control of MLS.
Completely agree. It'd be great to get more negative press on how those with vested interests in RE manipulate the public. They talk about how great RE is, but don't share all the facts. Yet, for most, it the largest purchase of their life (until they up-size). More negative/informed Press!
